Meet our Newest Teammate: Sharon Guillemette

Please welcome Sharon Guillemette to the PEHT board where she will serve as our Survivor Representative. Sharon's deep knowledge of the sex trafficking landscape, and her compassion for those living in profoundly difficult circumstances will be invaluable as we focus on creating a long-term residential recovery program.

Please welcome Sharon Guillemette to the PEHT board where she will serve as our Survivor Representative. Sharon currently serves at the Bridgeport Rescue Mission. Her deep knowledge of the sex trafficking landscape, and her compassion for those living in profoundly difficult circumstances will be invaluable as we focus on creating a long-term residential recovery program. 

 

Sharon survived 50 years of human trafficking, domestic violence, and addiction. She now lives in Connecticut, pursuing a life free of addiction, misery, and trafficking. Sharon was first sold into human trafficking by her mother at the age of six. She left New England as a young adult, spending 28 years on the streets in Miami. Sharon returned to Connecticut and "God restored my life". This month she celebrates five years of clean and sober living. Sharon actively supports young women on the streets and will assist PEHT as we begin street outreach to victims in our area.
