About Us

The Partnership to End Human Trafficking (PEHT) is a nonprofit organization that
provides survivors of human trafficking a pathway toward healing and independence through community outreach, residential recovery, and economic empowerment.

Our Story

PEHT was founded in 2016 by Elizabeth Koldyke Boolbol and a passionate group of individuals who recognized that human trafficking is a local issue, not just a distant phenomenon. They understood the long road to recovery that survivors face and were determined to help them rebuild their lives.

In 2019, we opened a drop-in center at a church in Bridgeport, CT, providing food,
hygiene products, and essential support for survivors. By January 2021, we launched our first residential home, offering a safe living space. Since then, we have opened a second residential home, both of which have been operating at full capacity. Through these efforts, we continue to connect with the local community and provide vital resources for survivors

Our Core Values

Human Dignity because we believe in the inherent value of every individual.

Community
because we believe in the healing power of shared experiences.

Equity
because we seek to lower barriers and promote access to resources and
opportunities.

Safety because we cultivate a trauma-informed environment.
