About Us

At the Partnership to End Human Trafficking, we believe love changes everything.

We provide survivors of human trafficking a safe haven and offer the support and resources they need to heal. Through two years of free transitional housing, personalized care, and job training, we create a trauma-informed environment where survivors can rediscover their strength, regain their independence, and rebuild their lives.

Our Story

PEHT was founded in 2016 by Elizabeth Koldyke Boolbol and a passionate group of individuals who recognized that human trafficking is not just a distant phenomenon —it is a local one. Aware of the challenges survivors face on their journey to recovery, we committed ourselves to providing the resources and support needed to help them rebuild their lives and thrive.

In 2019, we opened a drop-in center at a church in Bridgeport, Connecticut, offering food, hygiene products, and essential support for survivors in need.

In January 2021, we launched our first residential home, creating a safe and stable environment for survivors. This home offers 24/7 support, case management, trauma-informed therapy, skill training, and economic opportunities. Just six months later, we expanded our impact by opening The PEHT Shop, a social enterprise that provides survivors with meaningful employment opportunities and hands-on job training in a supportive workplace.

In February 2024, we proudly opened a second residential home, further expanding access to vital resources. Since then, both residential homes have operated at full capacity, underscoring the growing need for comprehensive survivor support.

We continue to build strong connections within the local community, expand access to essential resources, and support survivors as they heal, grow, and reclaim their independence. Together, we strive for a world free from exploitation, where every individual can live with dignity and hope.
