The Story Behind the Painting
This painting is titled “Organized Chaos”—and while the name might sound intense, it is not meant to be negative. It’s about how life can feel overwhelming, loud, and unpredictable on the surface—but underneath, there is a deeper meaning and purpose. That is what this piece means for me.
The turquoise tones are central to this painting and the different tones connect with peace, healing, and protection. For a long time, I did not have those things. But thanks to God and the strength I have found in my survivor sisters—women who have stood by me and walked through their own storms—I have found moments of peace, and I have begun to heal.
The gold woven through this painting tells another part of my story. It is about the negative things I have been slowly letting go of. Over time, that pain has turned into strength, and my heart is becoming more pure, more open. I have started to feel like I am taking control of my life again—bit by bit.
This painting is also a reflection of the people I see myself in—my warrior friends, the ones who fight every day with grace and courage, even when everything feels like chaos. I see them. And I pray for those we have lost, the angels who did not get the chance to find this peace.
Even now, I still have chaotic moments. But when they come, I will look at this painting and will remember how far I have come. I will remember the peace I have found, and the peace I am still reaching for.
