Taylor Bains

 Grants & Foundations Manager 

Taylor Bains serves as the Grants and Foundations Manager at PEHT, where she leads efforts to strengthen and expand the organization’s portfolio of institutional funding. In this role, she develops strategic partnerships with foundations and grantmaking entities, aligning resources with programs that advance equity, empowerment, and sustainable community impact.

She brings a background in legal advocacy, public policy, and nonprofit program development. Her experience includes providing civil rights representation, advancing access to justice, and supporting initiatives that center the voices and needs of marginalized communities. She approaches grant management with a deep understanding of the systemic and legal frameworks that shape effective advocacy and service delivery.

She earned her Juris Doctor from Roger Williams University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Public Policy from the University of Redlands. She is currently awaiting admission to the Connecticut Bar.

Outside of her professional work, Taylor is passionate about animal welfare and volunteers regularly at local animal shelters. Her dedication to service, compassion, and community care continues to guide her work both within and beyond PEHT.
