Cece Donoghue
Volunteer Coordinator and Community Liaison
Cece has more than 35 years of experience in serving the homeless, the incarcerated, unhoused pregnant women, children and adults with specials needs, and the disenfranchised. Cece is a member of the Order of Malta and is passionate about serving the poor and the sick. Cece is honored to have served in a number of leadership positions in the Order of Malta including working side by side with husband Mike as the Area Co-Chairs of Order of Malta American Association-CT for six years. From 2015 – 2020 Cece worked as a patient advocate for people who suffer from rare orphan diseases. As a consultant for various pharmaceutical companies, she traveled throughout the country and internationally to educate healthcare providers on the patient experience of those who suffer from rare disease as well as working with patients on how to advocate for themselves with healthcare providers. Her journey in the rare disease world also provided the opportunity for her to testify before the FDA on the approval of an orphan drug for the treatment of a rare endocrine disease. Cece lives in Connecticut where she and Mike had the privilege of raising their five (now adult) children. Cece is inspired daily by the Survivors she shares her life with at PEHT and is thrilled to be part of the PEHT Team.
