Why Guatemala?
- The US Department of State reports that the Guatemalan government identified 673 trafficking victims in 2015, a significant increase from 287 victims in 2014.
- Of the 673 victims identified, at least 456 were women and girls, compared with 106 in 2014.
- 217 victims were men and boys, including at least 174 men in forced labor, an increase from 26 in 2014.
